After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University, Tara started her career as a public servant in 2005 for Maricopa County. As a Senior Budget Analyst, she was able to get exposure to many departments and realized that she wanted to continue her career in government. While working full-time, Tara attended Western International University and received her Master of Public Administration degree in 2008.
In 2009, Tara started working for the City of Mesa as a Senior Fiscal Analyst and served in different assignments. In 2014, she started with Mesa Fire and Medical as the Deputy Director. In her current role, Tara oversees a $140 million budget and leads three passionate, high-performing teams. She is passionate about servant leadership, and very excited to join the board for Lifewell.
Tara and her husband, Kyle have two sons, Brady and Cason, and the family loves traveling. They love the ocean, snorkeling, boating, fishing, and have visited several regions in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, California and Florida and are hoping to branch out to the Dominican Republic soon. They also love to camp, hike, and enjoy the outdoors.
